Mondrian (1872-1944) is one of the most famous artists to combine architecture and art.

The difference between Ben Nicholson’s this work (1894-1982) and other artists, including Mondrian, is that it is a semi=subjective work made of wooden panels, and the colour scheme is only white.

He intended harmony, which was in opposition to the European nationalism of the period, by using white. On the other hand, the essence of the fusion of art and architecture was more emphasized simultaneously.
